The team at The Cook’s Station brings together expertise, enthusiasm, and innovation to create a marketplace
of inspiration - a celebration of the kitchen and all that it brings to the home.
Kelly B. Colacioppo:
As the owner of The Cook's Station, Kelly Ballantine Colacioppo has crafted her
business from years in the appliance and restaurant supply business with her father's
company, Ballantine Equipment. Kelly is extremely knowledgeable in all lines of
household appliances and she works with designers and builders on a daily basis
to make the homeowners' dream kitchen a reality. Kelly is also the lifeblood behind The
Cook Station's retail/gadget store on S. Main St. She keeps a pulse on today's
trends in cookware and kitchen tools and is usually the smiling face you'll see
when you enter our establishment.
As co-owner of The Cook's Station, John Colacioppo resigned from his civil engineering
job in Greenville in 2007 to head up the Service and Installation Department of
The Cook's Station. John is often on hand as our customers' appliances are being
installed, to ensure a smooth install. John is also our key person when it comes
to service on our appliances. He will work with you and our manufacturers to arrange
your service calls and make sure your needs are met in a timely manner.
Kevin is the go-to guy when it comes to new household appliances. Kevin has been
on staff with The Cook's Station for nearly eight years and as our Appliance Manager,
he knows all there is to know about all of our lines (and some other lines) of
appliances. He can get you or your builder the specifications you need for custom
cabinet upfits and work through design and install dilemmas with your builders.
Additionally, Kevin can assist you in our retail store on a daily basis whether
you want to reserve a seat at one of our cooking classes or just need a run-of-the-mill
oven thermometer.
Mark is our Contract Sales Manager
and Corporate Chef, and we keep him quite busy! Mark works all of his thousands of
connections and helps The Cook's Station grab a portion of the commercial market
here in Greenville. From town-home communities to schools and corporations, Mark is determined
to reach beyond the limits of Greenville County with appliances from The Cook's
Station. In addition, Mark is our Corporate Chef. He & his family go way
back in the Clemson area restaurant scene....from Calhoun Corners to Pixie &
Bills...Mark's culinary background rivals any current executive chef in Greenville.
He heads up our cooking class program and wine tasting events with his delicious
and unique recipes and he's always willing to share his knowledge. With expertise
in appliances and cooking, Mark will gladly do an in-home demonstration of any
appliances you purchase from The Cook's Station. Additionally, Mark is a black
belt in karate, a personal trainer and the former strength trainer to the Clemson Tigers!
As our Retail and Accounting Manager, Julie keeps all of our operations running
smoothly...from inventory procurement & marketing to staffing & accounting.
Julie also heads up our special order program. At The Cook's Station we make
every effort to carry hard to find tools, so if you're looking for something in
particular please ask us! She and her husband, Scott, created and ran The Carolina
Bagel Company in Greenville from 1995- 2005. She has an extensive business background
and a passion for cooking and baking. She credits her family's Italian and German
heritage and decendents for instilling in her a love of the culinary arts. In
addition to her administrative roles, she assists Mark in all of the cooking classes
& is often found baking some goodies in our live kitchen.
Jenelle is the lubricant that keeps The Cook's Station's retail store chugging
along every day. As floor manager and sales staff supervisor, she sets up our store displays and freshens
them up as needed. If you're ever wondering what a particular gadget does, don't
hesitate to ask Jenelle. If she doesn't know, she'll find out for you!
Kim Garrigan-Jones:
One of our customer service associates, Kim has recently come to The Cook's Station after years with The Spatula &
Spoon in Taylors. She has a very extensive knowledge base with regard to the cookware
and kitchen tools. She is also very experienced with cooking and baking and can answer just about any question you might have. We are very pleased to have her as a sales associate.
Dave Bingham: Dave is one of our customer service associates. He can help you find what you are looking for in the store or lead you to the right person to answer any questions you might need. He is also a cook in his own right, and can help out with cooking advice if necessary. Sandy Ervin: Sandy is the newest addition to The Cook's Station.
