Chef William LeaMond was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. His first relation with food, as he can recall, was the trips to the local food stands on Johns Island with his family. Chef Will believes that the kitchen is the heart of the home. William started his career with well-known Charleston Chefs such as Sean Brock, Jeremiah Bacon, and Matthew Niessner. William’s career and thirst for new experiences led him to San Diego, California where he developed his deeper understanding of classical French cuisine. From there he was given an opportunity to work for one of the best French chefs in New York City. After leaving the Big Apple Chef Will embarked on a food journey through Southeast Asia and Central America. Chef William LeaMond, since the age of 13, has held every position from dishwasher to Corporate Chef in casual, and fine dining establishments. Chef Will describes his food style as fresh, inviting, and approachable with notes of different cultures spread throughout each plate. Chef William, his wife Katherine, and their newly born daughter Ellie Laine LeaMond have since relocated to Greenville, South Carolina to open FOX HOUND, their modern American twist on the quintessential local café.
