Best Savory Dish Winner at Taste of The Upstate
This year’s Taste of the Upstate took place on April 13 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. The event benefits local nonprofit Loaves & Fishes, which seeks to combat food insecurity and food waste in the Upstate.
The event celebrated regionally produced food and talent with the theme “Livin’ La Vida Local!”
The festival boasted over 300 attendees and 20 dishes from over two dozen chefs. Each year, the event holds a competition allowing the chefs to compete in a range of categories that change with each annual event.
We are pleased to announce that our very own Chef Vinnie Bienish of The Cook’s Station won for Best Savory Dish for his his slow-roasted Italian pork belly Florentine on crostini.
