The Lodge Blacklock Triple-Seasoned Cast Iron Double Burner Griddle spans two burners to give you a long, flat cooking surface for big breakfasts, smash burgers, and fajitas, without the heft you expect from a cast iron griddle this size.
Blacklock is Lodge's premium line, inspired by the thinner, lighter cast iron of the early 1900s. The griddle is cast with thinner walls, so it is noticeably easier to lift, and it is triple-seasoned at the foundry for a better non-stick start straight out of the box. The flat surface heats evenly across both burners, so you can cook a full batch of pancakes at once or keep one side hotter for searing and the other cooler for holding.
Specs & details:
- Size: about 20.2" L x 10" W x 1.2" H
- Material: triple-seasoned bare cast iron, thinner-wall casting for lighter weight
- Design: flat double-burner surface with end handles
- Cooktops: gas, electric, induction, oven, and grill
- Care: hand wash, dry immediately, and oil lightly
- Made in: USA
Use it with: pancakes and bacon for a crowd, smash burgers, fajitas, grilled sandwiches, and hibachi-style vegetables
It is a good fit for cooks who want a full-size griddle they can actually lift. If you would rather have grill ridges on one side, Lodge's reversible grill/griddles offer both surfaces.
Blacklock pieces carry the year of casting and are made at Lodge's foundry in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.
Hand-selected by our Greenville team for cooks building a kitchen that works as hard as they do. Available for local pickup at our Buncombe Street shop.
Q: What size is the griddle?
A: It measures about 20.2 by 10 by 1.2 inches and is designed to span two burners.
Q: What does triple-seasoned mean?
A: Lodge applies three rounds of seasoning at the foundry, so the surface starts out smoother and more non-stick than single-seasoned cast iron.
Q: Is it lighter than a standard Lodge griddle?
A: Yes. Blacklock pieces are cast with thinner walls, so they weigh less than Lodge's standard line.
Q: Does it work on induction?
A: Yes. It works on induction, gas, electric, in the oven, and on the grill.
Q: How do I clean it?
A: Hand wash, dry immediately, and oil lightly. Do not put it in the dishwasher.
